Dr. Satish Tadikonda is the Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer and is a Board of Director of Virtify and has developed Virtify into a market leader in structured content management for the life sciences industry. With over 25 years of experience in the life sciences industry, Satish's expertise spans drug and medical device development, and software systems development.
Prior to Virtify, Satish was the founder of Tribiosys, Inc., a Cambridge, MA-based scientific consulting company. Prior to Tribiosys, he was the Founder, CEO and President of Enmed, Inc., a clinical trial and data management systems development company. Earlier in his career, Satish held senior positions at EPIX Medical, Inc. and at Hewlett-Packard Medical Products Group.
Satish holds a Doctorate in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Iowa, and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, India. He has published and presented more than 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences on topics in global labeling, medical imaging, clinical trial data management/disclosure, and technology in the life sciences. Satish is also a member of the Board of Directors of NuView Inc., and TiE-Boston, and serves as Executive Chairman of Cellanyx, Inc. and on the Advisory Board of AlephCloud. He is an Executive Partner of Blue Cloud Ventures, a fund focused on investing in in fast growing SaaS, PaaS and enterprise application and infrastructure software companies. Satish is a Charter Member of The Indus Entrepreneurs and is an active member of the TiE Angel Network. In addition to his professional pursuits, Satish is an avid golfer, a college football fan and enjoys the arts. He is also a co-owner of the Transcend Art Gallery located in Hyderabad, India.
Steve comes to Virtify with over twenty-five years of public and private company experience with strong financial, operational, budget and planning skills in the biotech, healthcare and information technology industries. In his previous roles, he gained experience with mergers and acquisitions, and debt and equity financings in both the venture and public markets.
Prior to joining Virtify, Steve served as Chief Financial Officer at Xceed Molecular, venture backed molecular diagnostics testing and solutions company, ClearStory Systems, Inc., a publicly traded software company, and Exact Sciences Corporation, a publicly traded biotechnology company. Prior to that, Steve held senior financial positions at Renaissance Worldwide, Inc., Concentra Managed Care, Inc. and Computervision Corporation.
Steve is a licensed CPA in Massachusetts and received his Bachelor of Sciences from the University of Rhode Island and his Masters of Business Administration from Babson College.
Christopher Dedels, BBA, is the Director of Product Management for all Virtify products. As a product director, Mr. Dedels, is responsible for the planning and execution of Virtify’s complete product strategy. With more than 10 years’ experience in designing and implementing enterprise applications, he has helped organizations reduce time-to-market, risk, and costs by implementing collaborative technology solutions. At Virtify, Mr. Dedels has played a key role in architecting Virtify's structured content management and regulatory information platform. Mr. Dedels also actively participates in the development of global standards and electronic standards committees with the DIA (Drug Information Association) and HL7.
Prior to Virtify, Inc., Mr. Dedels worked at Geotivity Inc., which specialized in real-time data collection and analysis. As a technology director, he led the company’s development of real-time simulation and prediction products using advanced machine learning technologies.
Mr. Dedels holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Okanagan University College
As Director of Virtify's India Operations, Varghese Jacob brings to our team more than 24 years of experience in successfully managing large IT projects covering infrastructure, embedded systems, networking, and OLTP projects with a leading TATA group company. Varghese co-founded Virtify’s Indian operations in 2007 and has successfully steered the India Team to take on offshore services and product development activities. In addition to providing world class IT infrastructure facilities to the India office, Varghese has been instrumental in hand picking and mentoring teams which provide software development, testing QA, Customer Support and Professional Services to customers in US and Europe. Under his leadership two of the company’s flagship products were enhanced and developed to full-fledged product releases with the collaboration of geographically distributed global teams in different time zones.
Prior to Virtify, Varghese worked extensively in banking, transportation, telecom and defense sectors on a global basis. His skills and qualifications in the areas of Project Management (PMP from PMI, USA) and Quality Management (CSQA from SAI, USA) and his training in Six Sigma enhance our proven ability to deliver on time with quality.
Mr. Jacob has a Masters in Advanced Electronics from JNTU Hyderabad. He has special research interest in Quality of Services in Networking.
Sheila has worked in life sciences R&D for almost 20 years. After five years of sponsor side regulatory affairs, Sheila recognized the coming wave of information technology and started a regulatory operations services company. Document Kinetics soon merged into Image Solutions (ISI). Sheila became ISI’s driving force behind business development and corporate strategy from 1998 through its acquisition by Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) in 2010. As Virtify’s head of corporate strategy, Sheila is committed to subject matter expertise (SME)-oriented sales and business development and bringing the entire organization into more accurate, profitable and mutually beneficial alignment with drug sponsor business requirements.
Sheila has a Major in Biology, Minor in Public Policy from Smith College, and an MBA from Columbia University.
Jawahar has over 17 years experience in a number of technical roles Designing, Architecting and Managing projects & products across the globe. His wide range of experience spans startups to large organizations in the ERP, Financial, Storage and Network industries. He has worked closely with users to deliver Innovative, Timely and Cost-Effective solutions.
Jawahar played an important role at Fidelity Investments for 9 years where he was recognized for his thought leadership, successful use of Agile Methodologies and leading teams that covered all facets of the Project - Development, Testing, Planning and Business Users. His specialties include working on very large and complex systems, Vendor Management, Strategic Planning, Center of Excellence, PaaS and Evaluation of New Technologies fit for the Product.
Jawahar received his MS in Computer Science from Northeastern University and his BS from Anna University.
Matthew Slough heads Virtify's Philippines operations. He has more than 20 years' experience in designing, implementing and enhancing software solutions for Fortune 500 companies. He also has an extensive background in offshore development of enterprise applications and services.
Most recently, Mr. Slough has led teams of more than 60 developers in the Philippines developing enterprise level software applications and providing support services for large clients in the Life Insurance, Health Insurance and Financial Services industries. He founded and led an Offshore Development Center that built applications using Java and .Net technologies for US-based clients. Previously, as a Senior Consultant with LIDP Consulting Inc., Mr. Slough filled a variety of roles, from software developer to technical lead and project management, for clients throughout the US including ING, Torchmarch, and Western Southern Financial. In this capacity, he led multiple projects involving more than 100 people across various geographic locations both domestically and abroad.
Mr. Slough has a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University.
Scott Venable is responsible for all commercial operations post sales including product implementations, professional services, solution developments, product support, operational client management, SaaS operations and corporate IT functions.
Mr. Venable brings over 12 years of life sciences software experience to Virtify. Prior to joining Virtify, Mr. Venable was a 9 year veteran of the Phase Forward (now Oracle) professional services team where he led the EDC adoptions efforts for several Tier 1 pharmaceutical companies. As a result Mr. Venable has significant experience with software implementation and adoption in the pharmaceutical area as wel as operational account management and SaaS services. Prior to joining Phase Forward, Mr. Venable worked for Open Market (a pioneer in eCommerce) and Cabot Corporation.
Mr. Venable hold a B.S. and M.S in Chemical Engineering from the University of Louisiana.
Anmol Wassan is responsible for client-service delivery, solutions development, client management, and sales and marketing of services operations at Virtify. As a key member of the senior management team, Mr. Wassan has helped shape Virtify's growth and development over the past several years. In his many roles at Virtify over the years, he has managed the company's operations and helped with the execution and delivery of a number strategic and quick hit projects, using both onshore and offshore service delivery models. Mr. Wassan has also participated in industry standards activities and contributed to the development of Virtify's software and services offerings. He is an active participant in implementing solutions for regulatory mandates such as Clinical Trial Transparency and Structured Product Labeling.
Prior to joining Virtify, Mr. Wassan was at Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch serving as part of Citigroup's Global Markets group in a team that provided customized solutions to high-net-worth clients. He was responsible for research on hedge funds, private equity and traditional money managers, a project to find new institutional clients and projects revolving around presentations to clients. At Merrill, he was responsible for a project on a mechanical trading system method based on fundamental stock selection.
Mr. Wassan has a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Computer Science from Franklin & Marshall College.
Tom Witmer is responsible for Virtify's sales and partner organization. He has over 30 years of sales and sales leadership experience in enterprise software companies in the database and content management space serving the life sciences software industries.
Mr. Witmer joined Virtify from Progress Software, where he was responsible for starting up their Life Sciences sales practice. Prior to Progress (Savvion), as an early employee, Tom spent over 14 years at Documentum's Life Science sales vertical handling major accounts such as Pfizer, Schering-Plough, Merck, and Becton Dickinson. He was also instrumental in starting and participating in the Life Sciences Customer Advisory Council at Documentum. Prior to Documentum, Mr. Witmer has held various senior sales management positions at Verity, Unify, Ingres, and Timeplex.
Mr. Witmer holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Rider University.
