Satish Tadikonda

President

As the founder, President and CEO of Virtify, Dr. Satish Tadikonda has developed Virtify into a market leader in Enterprise Content Compliance solutions for Life Sciences. With over 21 years of experience in the Life Sciences industry, Dr. Tadikonda’s area of expertise spans drug and medical device development, and software systems development. Over the course of his career, he has helped develop a number of long-term strategic initiatives and quick win solutions for clients. Such solutions have helped organizations reduce time-to-market, risk, and costs by managing and automating the complex regulatory compliance and content exchange requirements throughout the product life cycle. In addition to a deep understanding of discovery and development processes, Dr. Tadikonda has hands-on experience with a number of R&D and commercial systems, including systems for optimizing electronic submissions, clinical trial and data management, clinical trial disclosure, global labeling, medical imaging, product life cycle management and manufacturing operations. Dr. Tadikonda also plays a leadership role in the development of global regulatory standards and is an active participant in a variety of electronic standards committees.

At Virtify, Dr. Tadikonda has been instrumental in the development of the Virtx software suite. Virtx is the industry’s only solution to provide a secure, collaborative web-based environment for managing regulated content throughout the entire continuum – from pre-clinical through product registration to commercialization. He has also helped develop Virtify’s comprehensive professional services portfolio to enhance quality and compliance for some of the world’s leading life sciences companies.

Prior to Virtify, Dr. Tadikonda was the founder of Tribiosys, Inc., a Cambridge, MA-based scientific consulting company. Before this venture, he was the Founder, CEO and President of Enmed, Inc., a clinical trial and data management systems development company. At Enmed, Dr. Tadikonda was responsible for conceptualizing and developing a suite of products designed to improve the speed and efficiency of clinical development, including electronic data capture, real-time reporting of serious adverse events etc. The suite of products supported eCRF generation, investigator, site, clinical data, medical image and document management.

Prior to Enmed, Dr. Tadikonda worked at EPIX Medical, Inc., where as Director of Imaging Science, he led the company's imaging department and helped develop innovative techniques to visualize vascular structures. Early in his career, he was a lead engineer with Hewlett-Packard Medical Products Group, working on developing innovative MRI, Ultrasound and Telemedicine products.

Dr. Tadikonda holds a Doctorate in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Iowa, and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, India. Dr. Tadikonda has published and presented over 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences on topics in global labeling, medical imaging, clinical trial data management/disclosure and technology in the Life Sciences.

Michael Webb

Executive Chairman

Mike Webb has over 25 years of experience in healthcare and life sciences. Most recently, he was the CEO of Ascent Therapeutics, a venture-backed company focusing on developing pepducins, a new biology platform for drug discovery. Prior to founding Ascent, he was the CEO of EPIX Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 1994 through 2005. During this period, EPIX grew from a venture-backed startup to the world leader in discovery and development of pharmaceuticals for imaging with MRI, achieving worldwide approval for its lead product and completing numerous public financings and corporate partnerships including an IPO. Mr. Webb joined EPIX from CIBA, where he was most recently Senior Vice President, Worldwide Marketing and Strategic Planning of CIBA Diagnostics, responsible for global marketing, program management, corporate planning, business development and licensing. Prior to CIBA, Mr. Webb was a senior consultant at Booz, Allen & Hamilton, specializing in healthcare and life sciences.

Mr. Webb holds Bachelors degrees in Biochemistry and Economics from the University of Kansas, Summa Cum Laude and an MA in International Relations from Sussex University in the UK, completing his thesis on "Pharmaceuticals Policy and the World Health Organization." In addition, Mr. Webb holds an MBA degree with honors from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He currently serves on the boards of the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council, where he is past Chairman, the Kellogg Center for Biotechnology at Northwestern and is a Senior Advisor to Johnston and Blakely, a life sciences investment banking firm.

Stephen Bergson

Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations

Stephen Bergson is the Executive Vice President of Commercial Operations at Virtify. In this role, Stephen leads the sales and marketing activities of Virtify.

Stephen has been in the management consulting and software services industries for 25 years with a focus on the life sciences area. Before joining Virtify, he was an independent consultant for a global management consulting firm. In this position, he led the design and commercialization of a life science business process outsourcing business unit. The offering provides the industry with key knowledge processing services throughout the R&D and manufacturing processes. Before this engagement, Stephen was a Vice President at Capgemini. His focus area was within Capgemini’s Life Sciences practice where he led the professional services offerings of management consulting, technology and outsourcing to a number of large multi-national life sciences companies.

Preceding Capgemini, Stephen was the North American CEO at ARINSO International. He also served on the Board of Directors - Euronext: ARIN - and was a member of the Executive Committee. ARINSO International is a provider of management consulting services and HR business process outsourcing for Fortune 250 corporations. During his tenure with ARINSO International, Stephen led the corporation into the business process outsourcing marketplace and significantly increased it’s presence within the global HR domain for management consulting services.

Prior to ARINSO International, Mr. Bergson was a senior member of the Ernst & Young Global Life Sciences practice. He was a Principal Partner with responsibilities within a set of core service areas across the global practice and concentrated on a number of large international accounts. Stephen began his tenure with Ernst & Young as a Senior Manager. He developed core focus areas product commercialization and capital efficiency as a result of key market trends and client requirements.

Before joining Ernst & Young, Stephen was the Vice President of Business Services at Ceridian. He led the North American commercial practice within the ICES business unit. This practice provided software consulting services to Fortune 500 companies interested in the case tool technology available at the time.

Mr. Bergson has his BS degree from of Boston College, Chestnut Hill, MA.

John P. Murgo

Chief Operating Officer

John Murgo is Chief Operating Officer at Virtify. In his role John is responsible for Finance, IT, HR, legal areas as well as managing the integration of people and processes within Sales, Marketing, Product Implementation and Customer Support - to drive the successful execution of the company’s Enterprise Content Compliance strategy.

John is an established executive with over 15 years experience in the software industry having held a number of senior positions including CEO of Process Software, CFO of Dirig Software and Executive Vice President/CFO of both Open Service and Acronis Inc.

Most recently, John served as Executive Vice President/CFO of Acronis, a provider of scalable storage management and disaster recovery software where he contributed to the growth of the company from approximately $20M to $120M in revenues in the space of two and a half years.

Prior to Acronis John was EVP/CFO of Open Service, a provider of enterprise class security information management software. In addition to finance responsibilities he managed business and corporate development and channel sales.

Prior to this, John held a variety of executive management roles including CFO of Dirig Software, a provider of web application performance management software, CEO of Process Software, a provider of advanced networking software, and CFO/COO of HPSC, a publicly traded company on NASDAQ.

John began his career working briefly for a regional CPA firm and then on to Coopers & Lybrand’s Boston office. He is a graduate of Bentley University and is a CPA (not active).

Jawa Tembulkar

Vice President of Engineering

Jawa Tembulkar brings over 20+ years in the software industry, delivering complex software products in a wide range of domains including Web based system management and monitoring tools, computer aided design, product lifecycle management, networking, handheld devices, and storage (NAS and SAN).

Most recently, Jawa was at EMC Corporation for 7+ years. As Director of Software he was responsible for system management and monitoring tools for EMC’s flagship NAS product – Celerra. This included overall delivery of web based Graphical User Interfaces, Command Line Interface, and Application Programmable Interfaces. Celerra is one of EMC’s fastest growing product lines. Prior to EMC, Jawa was the Vice President of Software at adAlive – a startup focused on developing hardware and multi-tier software to deliver advertising content to handheld devices. Prior to adAlive, Jawa served as the Vice President of Applications Software at Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC), where he was responsible for the delivery of ship building, piping, routing, drafting and detailing modules. At PTC, he was also the Director of Pro/DESKTOP, a Windows native CAD product that was eventually targeted to the educational marketplace. Prior to PTC, Jawa was on a three year assignment in Pune, India, as the technical liaison and Resource Manager for Computervision Corporation’s India R&D center. He has also served in various technical capacities at Intergraph Corporation, Prime-Calma, and Prime-Computervision.

Jawa’s forte is building and leading global multi-function teams to deliver complex products and systems. Jawa has considerable experience restructuring and optimizing organizations, and transforming development processes and culture. Jawa has hands-on experience with Open Source, Java, and Windows technology platforms. Jawa has a Bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a M.S. from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC.

Varghese Jacob

General Manager (India)

Varghese Jacob, as General Manager of Virtify’s India Operations, brings to the team over 18 years of rich experience in successfully managing large IT projects covering infrastructure, embedded, networking and OLTP projects with a leading TATA group company. He has extensively worked in Banking, Transportation, Telecomm and Defence Sectors in India and abroad on crucial projects. His project management skills and qualifications in the vital competency areas of Project Management (PMP from PMI, USA) and Quality Management (CSQA from SAI, USA) and training in Six Sigma will help continually enhance organization's proven delivery capability He has built strong technical teams with his excellent communication, training & motivating skills who have been working in multi location, geographically and culturally diverse global projects. His guiding, mentoring and convincing capability has been appreciated by his peers and customers. He was selected for a unique International Leadership training at Singapore '04 and returned with honors for the Indian team in some of the multinational events.

He has provided training on technology management and up-gradation to top management and senior managerial staff of Banks at RBI - the apex banking regulator of India, ASCI, ESCI, HICKS Sudan and Syrian Railways. Has in depth understanding of many new technologies. As an integral part of his responsibilities has demonstrated skills in planning, review, design, implementation, life cycle management and support for various products, services and integration projects in India, China, Middle East, UK and USA. Completed many critical and challenging assignments including Outsourced Supplier's Audit assessment for Motorola, Integrated Multi Passenger Reservation System for the entire South Central Railways, Highly secure & complex Campus LAN and WAN solutions and application integration for the country. Notable among these are the Indian Financial Network (INFINET) a blend of VSAT and Terrestrial dedicated nationwide links for RBI and Defence Rapid Online Network Access for DRDO covering 51 Defense Labs across India.

He has consulted with various organizations including PSU Banks such as Oriental Bank of Commerce, State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Saurashtra, Punjab National Bank, RBI, BHEL, DRDL, ARCI and ASCI. He has successfully trained over 100 professionals on Project Management

Varghese is an Electronics and Telecomm Engineer with Masters in Advanced Electronics from JNTU Hyderabad. He has special research interest in Quality of Services in Networking. He is an amateur and ardent pianist, photographer and world traveler.

Matthew Slough

General Manager (Philippines)

Matthew Slough heads Virtify’s Philippines operations. He has over 20 years experience in designing, implementing and enhancing software solutions for Fortune 500 companies. He also has an extensive background in offshore development of enterprise applications and services.

For the last 6 years Matthew has led teams of over 60 developers in the Philippines developing enterprise level software applications and providing support services for large clients in the Life Insurance, Health Insurance and Financial Services domains. He founded and led an Offshore Development Center that built applications using Java and .Net technologies for US based clients. Prior to that Matthew filled a variety roles from software developer, to technical lead and project management for clients throughout the United States such as ING, Torchmarch, and Western Southern Financial as a Senior Consultant with LIDP Consulting Inc. In this capacity Matthew led multiple projects involving over 100 people across various geographic locations both on-shore and offshore.

Matthew holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University in Columbus Ohio.

Anmol Wassan

Director of Professional Services

Anmol Wassan is the Director of Professional Services at Virtify. In this role, Anmol is responsible for client-service delivery, solutions development, client management, and sales and marketing of services operations at Virtify. As a key member of the senior management team, Anmol has helped shape Virtify’s growth and development over the past five years. In his many roles at Virtify over the years, Anmol has managed the Company’s operations and helped with the execution and delivery of a number strategic and quick hit projects, using both onshore and offshore service delivery models. Anmol has also participated in industry standards activities and contributed to the development of Virtify’s software and services offerings. He is an active participant in implementing solutions for regulatory mandates such as Clinical Trial Transparency and Structured Product Labeling.

Prior to joining Virtify, he worked at Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch. At Smith Barney, Anmol was part of Citigroup's Global Markets group in a team that provided customized solutions to high net worth clients. He was responsible for research on hedge funds, private equity and traditional money managers, a project to find new institutional clients and projects revolving around presentations to clients. At Merrill, Anmol was responsible for a project on a mechanical trading system method based on fundamental stock selection.

Anmol holds a bachelor of arts in business administration with a concentration in finance from Franklin & Marshall College. He also has a minor in computer science.

Dwight Galler

Senior Director, Marketing

Dwight Galler is responsible for corporate and product marketing and for driving industry adoption of Virtify’s Enterprise Content Compliance solutions.

Mr. Galler has over 20 years of experience in technology and B2B environments most recently as vice president of marketing at Bridgeline Software and vice president of product marketing with GMI of Seattle, Washington.

From 2004 through 2006 Mr. Galler was vice president of marketing for enterprise web survey firm Perseus (now Vovici), where he successfully positioned and launched the company and its products defining a new category of “Enterprise Feedback Management” solutions. At Perseus, Mr. Galler successfully drove industry adoption of EFM with tier-one analyst firms Gartner and Jupiter, the press, and multiple competitors earning Perseus the distinction of industry leader. The firm was successfully acquired by Austin Ventures, a $3 billion venture capital firm as part of an EFM consolidation strategy in early 2006.

Prior to Perseus Mr. Galler was director of marketing communications for Netegrity, Inc., where he built and managed the company’s outbound marketing team, corporate identity, and lead generation efforts for close to five years. As part of the senior management team Mr. Galler successfully guided the company through multiple branding exercises resulting in Netegrity’s continued leadership in the identity and access management category, and was an integral member of the messaging team that yielded NASDAQ’s most successful secondary stock offering of 1999.

Mr. Galler has held marketing positions with the Baan Company, Inso Corporation, Bombaci + Mitchell Direct Marketing, S&N Advertising, and Kenyon & Eckhardt Advertising – with emphasis on strategy development, branding, lead generation, press/analyst relations, and go-to-market planning. Mr. Galler holds a BA degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Joseph Gentile

Board Advisor

Joseph Gentile, Vice President and General Manager of BD Biosciences Discovery Labware, has over 25 years of experience in the high-technology medical device and life sciences industry. He is responsible for the strategic and operational restructuring of the company by re-focusing the business on the higher growth areas of drug discovery and proteomics while further developing, revitalizing and strengthening the core business of tissue culture and fluid handling. As a member of the BD Biosciences Leadership Team, he has joint responsibility for overall business performance and development including, business alliances, acquisitions and portfolio management. Prior to joining BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), of which BD Biosciences is one of four business segments, Mr. Gentile served as a member of Hewlett-Packard's core management team responsible for the determination of customer needs, product requirements and business structure for a major new business start up. During his tenure with Hewlett-Packard, he was responsible for the design and implementation of the Medical Group's Global Technology Strategy and management of a group-wide task force chartered with the design of a comprehensive resource allocation model for project, program and portfolio valuation. Mr. Gentile graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and a minor in biology. He received a Master of Science and a Master of Business Administration, graduating Summa Cum Laude, from Boston University.
