Virtify SCM is a collaborative, component-based structured content management system that transforms content creation productivity through advanced parallel authoring and content re-use. Built for use in a regulated environment, it complies with 21 CFR Part 11 and related regulations.

It's built on Virtify's Structured Content Management (SCM) framework —an open, extensible architecture that uses common infrastructure and business components to dramatically increase efficiency and flexibility.

Content re-use—Our content-centric approach allows approved content to be linked and re-used across documents. Changes in content are seamlessly carried over to linked documents—saving time, increasing accuracy and keeping related documents in sync.

Parallel authoring and review—Multiple authors and reviewers can work simultaneously and in parallel, dramatically improving productivity. Secure, role-based access keeps each user focused on relevant tasks.

Built-in XML Content Library— As documents are created, a library of machine accessible XML content components is created, enabling re-use of the content and tagging of the information within the content for future use.

Configurable Metadata—Metadata is a critical content management system feature used to describe, catalog, retrieve, and secure content. Virtify SCM provides configurable metadata, enabling you to define the metadata ontology that meets your specific needs.

User-friendly, component-based authoring—Virtify SCM enables users to transition to component-based authoring without having to learn new technologies.  Its browser-based interface, familiar word processor, and a document-centric approach to component-based authoring allows authors and reviewers to continue to work in the way they are accustomed with tools they are comfortable using.

Document lifecycle management—Our configurable workflow engine lets you define customer-specific workflows that specify all aspects of a document's life cycle, including the sequence of workflow activities, the actions that can be performed at each activity, and the user roles that can perform them, as well as versioning.

Template-based document creation—Templates accelerate document creation, guide authors on required content, and enforce standard structure. Use the optional pre-loaded templates, or create and configure your own.

Integration with other systems—Virtify SCM's open architecture enables integration with existing infrastructure and document management systems, including EMC Documentum and Microsoft® SharePoint®, or use it as a standalone product.
